Michael Akadiri has a burgeoning television career that includes appearances on Comedy Central LIVE (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), and Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer. His radio credits span Capital Xtra Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club, and stand-up on BBC Radio 4’s Fred at the Stand.
In the social media space, he has collaborated with Channel 4 (Jokes Only), LadBible UK (NewFade prank), and Project Giving Back (Chelsea Flower Show, 2024).
Alongside comedy, Michael is a resident doctor in the NHS and is currently on sabbatical from his surgical training. His medical background has made him a sought-after health commentator, with appearances across television (BBC Two’s Newsnight), radio (LBC and Times Radio), and print (The Guardian opinion column).
Michael’s 2022 Edinburgh Fringe debut was a huge success; his show ‘No Scrubs’ sold out its run and culminated in a nomination for the Biggest Award in Comedy. His sophomore follow-up, Trust Me, I’m a Daddy, toured the UK successfully across 2024/5.
Michael will embark on his third tour, Don’t Call Me Uncle!, in 2026.
