Bridget Christie’s most successful stand-up show was ‘A Bic For Her’, which won her the Foster’s 2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award For Best Show, the 2014 South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best Comedy, the 2014 Chortle Award for Best Show, and a 2014 Hospital 100 Club Award for Performance and Theatre. Her 2016 show ‘Because You Demanded It’ was The Guardian’s No 1 Comedy of 2016 and also won the Chortle Award for Best Show. In the same year, she became the first British female comedian to have a stand-up special on Netflix.

Her TV and radio credits include QI, The Omid Djalili Show, Harry Hill’s Little Cracker, Anna and Katy, The Culture Show, Mel and Sue, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Have I Got News For You, Room 101, Taskmaster, Sarah Millican’s Support Group, The Now Show, and French and Saunders’ Christmas Show.

Her star-studded, critically acclaimed sitcom The Change on Channel 4 was longlisted for the 2023 TV Choice Awards and nominated in 2024 for an RTS Comedy Writing Award and a BAFTA for her performance in comedy. Her BBC Radio 4 series Bridget Christie Minds the Gap won her the Best Radio Award at the 2014 Chortle Awards and the 2014 Rose D’Or International Broadcasting Award.

In 2015, she released her debut book A Book of Her. The book details her 12 years of “anonymous toil in the bowels of stand-up comedy and the sudden epiphany that made her, unbelievably, one of the most critically acclaimed British stand-up comedians this decade.” She has also written for The Sunday Times, The Times, The Independent, and The Observer. She spent a year writing a weekly column for The Guardian Weekend magazine on topics including Britain, the Proms, beauty, women’s health, Brexit, UK politics, technology, self-help, Christmas, and literature.
