Liam Withnail’s 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show ‘Chronic Boom’ was a runaway success, receiving widespread critical acclaim from The Independent, The Times, and Chortle. The show detailed the emotional story of facing up to a chronic illness (Ulcerative Colitis) and reckoning his new reality during a hospital stay. His 2025 show ‘Big Strong Boy’ was just as successful, selling out its entire Edinburgh Fringe Festival run, along with scooping an award at the inaugural Skinny Awards.
Liam has been heard on The Good, The Bad, and the Unexpected, been seen on Socially Distant with fellow comedian Susan Calman, and has written for Scot Squad.
