More About

Following the success of ‘Planet Killing Machine, Jon Long developed a show for BBC Radio 4 titled ‘Extinction Compendium’ in 2021. Unusual Productions produced the show which also featured biologist Gillian Burke and fellow comedian Alasdair Beckett-King.

He has since gone on to produce six episodes of an eco-themed show, also for Radio 4, titled ‘Carbon Lifeforms’ alongside climate scientist Dr. Tara Shine.

As well as his own solo shows, Jon has supported other comedians such as Chris McCausland on his tour in 2022/23, and for nearly 250 dates on his recent Yonks tour.

What sets Jon apart from other comedians is his musical flair. Hilarious, silly, and talented, Jon can sing about something as mundane as the recycling and make it entertaining. He has performed up and down the country at venues including The Comedy Store, leaving audience members in hysterics. His comedy has seen him be a runner-up at the 2015 Brighton Comedy Festival’s New Act of the Year, a finalist of the 2017 Piccadilly Comedy Club’s New Act of the Year, and winning both the 2015 Comedy Store King Gong and the 2016 Musical Comedy Award’s Audience Favourite.
