Desiree Burch is an American-born, England-resident comedian, writer, and actor, who has firmly established herself as one of the breakout comedians in the UK.

She is the host and voice of Netflix’s smash reality hit Too Hot to Handle, and has appeared on Taskmaster and Live at the Apollo. Since winning the 2015 Funny Women Award, she has appeared on everything from QI to Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, and Insert Name Here.

Born in California, Desiree Burch graduated with a degree in Theatre Studies, before becoming a founding member of the New York Neo-Futurists, regularly performing as a stand-up comedian and actress on the NY comedy circuit.

She moved to London in 2014, where she achieved wider acclaim in television, appearing in comedy shows including The Mash Report, The Russell Howard Hour, The Fake News Show, Chris Ramsey’s Stand Up Central, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order, and Would I Lie To You.

As an actress, she has appeared in Welcome to the Night Vale, the Arnold Schwarzenegger show Superhero Kindergarten, and the Netflix movie A Castle For Christmas.

As a comedian, she has won the Funny Women competition, the Fringe First Award for her self-written one-woman show Tar Baby, and has performed a number of national and international comedy tours.
