A comedian, host, and podcaster, born and raised in Harlow to Jamaican parents, Darran Griffiths has a blend of Caribbean confidence and Essex irreverence.
To date, Darren has appeared on television and radio channels including BBC, Comedy Central, and BBC Radio.
He has also performed at some of the top comedy clubs including the Comedy Store, Hackney Empire, and the Indigo at the O2.
In 2023 he made his Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut with âInconceivableâ.
He has also supported some of the countryâs top comics, such as Russell Howard, Michael Che, Judi Love, Iain Stirling, and Britainâs Got Talent winner Axel Blake.
He has also performed alongside Mo Gilligan and Alan Carr.

DARRAN GRIFFITHSÂ COMEDY
After an exciting debut on the circuit in 2018, Darran Griffiths was an Amused Moose National New Comedian semi-finalist, BBC New Comedy Award nominee, and Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian runner-up.
This was then followed by being a 2021 British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist.
2022 saw Darran reach the semi-finals o0f the BBC New Comedy Award and British Comedian of the Year.
His debut show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023, Inconceivable, was listed in The Sunâs âTwenty must-see comedy showsâ and Edinburgh Evening News as â13 shows to watch out for.â
The show was released as a special in 2024 and is currently in development for TV, after being nominated Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2024.

Darranâs TV and Radio credits include BBC Three, BBC London, Times Radio, BBC 1 Xtra, Yanga TV, BBC Radio and Pulse88 FM, where he presented and produced a weekly Saturday morning radio show called the Saturday Morning Hangover.
Since 2017, he has hosted a weekly podcast called Griffâs Brain Dump, where he discusses his personal life and current affairs.
In 2023, he launched Late Nights & Wet Wipes, a weekly parenthood podcast co-hosted by fellow comedians and fathers Kazeem Jamal and Michael Akadiri.
