Clive is a popular voice on the radio; presenter of Clive Anderson’s Chat Room on BBC Radio 2 and 2 shows on BBC Radio 4, his long-running entertainment show Loose Ends, which mixes music, conversation and comedy and Unreliable Evidence, a series that explores and analyses current legal, economic and political issues.
In 2015, Clive hosted Who’s Line is it Anyway -Live, which premiered in London’s Adelphi Theatre and later in the London Palladium.
Clive Anderson began his career as a practising barrister, specialising in criminal law, before turning to comedy in the late 1980s.
This popular television broadcaster and comedic writer rose to prominence as the host of the improvisational comedy Who’s Line is it Anyway? – which was originally made for radio.
However, its time on radio was short-lived, as it soon became a popular television series on Channel 4.
The show ran consecutively for 10 series, premiering in 1988 and ending in 1999.

Following the show’s success, Clive continued to be a popular face on the comedy circuit, hosting his own chat show, Clive Anderson Talks Back, which also ran for 10 series on Channel 4.
Clive then moved to the BBC for another 4 series with a modified version of his talk show, now titled Clive Anderson, All Talk.
During this time, he won two notable comedy accolades, ‘The Top Entertainment Presenter’ award and ‘Top Radio Comedy Personality’ award by the British Comedy Academy.
These days, Clive continues to be a frequent guest on panel shows such as Have I Got News For You, QI and Mock the Week.
He is also a popular personality in print, frequently contributing to The Times, The Observer, The Listener and The Independent on Sunday.
